Goals & Values
The Sports Medicine discourse community, is one that is made up of physicians, surgeons, and doctors all alike. This community is striving to upgrade and improve their works and community. To get into further detail the goals of sports medicine physicians is to find better remedies and ways to better improve an athletic persons body, mind, and overall person. Orthopedic surgeons have the same goal, but they come up my advance technologies to help recovery times and different devices to help non athletic patients in hip or joint surgeries. For a student standpoint, they want to teach their residents the skills, patients, and experience in their medical program. Their goals help them make advances to better human lives. However, their values are just as important. A few of their values are teamwork, respect, putting the patients needs before all else, and having an honest and open understanding between fellow doctors, coworkers, patients and their families.
